CHRISTINA SKAAR

Christina Skaar (born August 11 1989), is a Norwegian singer and songwriter from Oslo, Norway. Signed to Warner Chappel Scandinavia as a Songwriter/Topliner.

At the age of 20 she started a recording career with a Swedish Record Label called TOPDJs. May 19th 2010, Christina released her first single, John de Sohn, Nick Wall ft Christina Skaar – Unleash my Love (Top Dj Records). It reached #2 over all Genres on Beatport only Three Days after the Release. The Official Dan Castro Remix got full Support on Tiësto’s Club Life Podcast 199, and appeared on Ministry of Sound, Dance Anthems 2 (2010) and Alex Sayz’s Compilation; So Sayz.

Less than 9 Days later (May 28th), she released her second studio single, Mikael Weermets ft Christina Skaar – I’ll House U (Warner Music Group/Kingdom Cuts). The Track appeared on two Compilations ;Ministry of Sound, Dance Anthems 2 (2010) and Ministry of Sound, The Annual Summer (2010).

Christina’s third studio single, Alex Lamb ft Christina Skaar – Freedom (Top Dj Records) was Released July 1st the same Year. Peaking at #4 on Sirius BPM in USA, and #1 on Radio 107,5 in Sweden, it also appeared on Ministry of Sound, Dance Anthems 3 (2010), Radio 107,5’s House Party VOL.1 and Alex Sayz’s Compilation; So Sayz. It also appeared on the Billboard list in the US.

October 7th 2010, she released yet another Single with Mikael Weermets, Love is (Kingdom Cuts), and Dany Coast ft Christina Skaar – Swede Harmony (Discowax/Sony Music Denmark) November 15th. The Dub Mix of Swede Harmony also appeared on Sensation White Copenhagen, We celebrate Life Compilation in 2010.

In March 2010 she was selected by STARGATE and Music Export Norway to Join Masterclass in New York. In 2011 “Falling” was released with the Swedish DJ & Producer; Alex Sayz. In 2012 she released “Ain’t gonna Fail” with BOOTIK through Bob Sinclar’s label “Yellow Productions” & Ministry of Sound.

In 2012 she became a deputy member of Stealth Music AS & Unit One AS. The same year she decided to pursue a solo career and move away from the house scene and into the pop genre.

In December 2013 she shot two Musicvideos in Washington DC with 8112 Studios, the Commercial & Music Video Director; Nicholas Cambata and the award-winning advertising and editorial photographer; Douglas Sonders from New York City.

In January 2013 Christina did a photoshoot with top fashion, beauty, and art photographer; Morten Qvale, the Award winning high-end makeup artist; Sølvi Strifeldt & hairstylist Silje Hagatun. Christina wishes to convey independence, class, and strength through her Lyrics and Photos, while expressing herself artistically through her Music Videos. Christina Skaar – Flashbacks (written by Christina Skaar & Katerina Bramley , produced by Awson & Ily, Mixed by Ketil Schei & Mastered by Chris Gehringer) & Christina Skaar – Critical (Written by Christina Skaar, produced by Jesper Borgen, Mixed by Ketil Schei & Mastered by Chris Gehringer) can both be expected in 2014 with Music Video Releases.
